First Cheyenne Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1935 to serve the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In 1997 our name was changed from Cheyenne VAF to First Cheyenne Federal Credit Union to more accurately describe our new mission and the fact that we were the first credit union in Cheyenne. In January 2002, First Cheyenne became a Community Charter Credit Union with membership open to everyone that lives, works, worships or attends school in Laramie County, Wyoming.
